Munich Olympics Story: The Only One

Mika Slavin

by Mika Slavin

It is so difficult sometimes to start the stories. This is a special story of a man, Mika Slavin, who was lost… It began with success and continued with the fulfillment of all his abilities and wishes. He was the firstborn of parents who valued liberty. By chance, he discovered the exceptional sport of judo, which he promoted to a level never seen before, even aspiring to compete among Olympic athletes at the Munich Olympics. One day, he came with a determined mind to immigrate to Israel, wishing to achieve another level of self-fulfillment. To represent the Jewish people in the war of love and the nation’s brotherhood, and to show the whole world that nothing would erase his memory! Farewell to family, he left in peace and traveled to fulfill his dream. So close was he to achieving this wish. But how did it happen that fate did not wish so? Death intervened to torpedo the mission. Suddenly, it was silent, all dressed in black. In one brief moment, the man, Mika, was lost… But the dream remained. I was created, and here I am for you to help fulfill your dream. This I swear, my dear brother, that your dream is my dream. With all my might, I will sow your seed of love to the whole world, to all the nations.
