MUNICH OLYMPICS

MUNICH OLYMPICSMUNICH OLYMPICSMUNICH OLYMPICS

THE ONLY ONE

by Mika Slavin

 It is so difficult sometimes

to start the stories.

This is a special story

of a man that was lost…

It started with success

And continued with fulfillment

of all the abilities

of all the wishes

of that one.

He was firstborn

of parents who gave liberty.

By chance he discovered

the exceptional sport

which he promoted to a level

that had never been seen.

One day did he come

with determined mind

to immigrate to Israel, did he wish

and to achieve another self-fulfillment.

To represent the Jewish people

In the war of love and the nation’s brotherhood

and to show the whole world

that nothing will erase him!!

Farewell the family, he left in peace

and traveled to fulfill the dream.

So close was he

To fulfill the wish.

But how did it happen

that fate did not wish so?

Death did he send

to torpedo the mission.

Suddenly it was silent

all dressed black

in one brief moment

the one, the man, was lost…

But the dream remained.

I was created

and here I am for you

to fulfill your dream.

This I swear, my dear brother

that your dream is my dream.

With all my might,

I will sow your seed of love

to the whole world,

all the nations.
