Andre Spitzer
Bio
Andre Spitzer was born July 4, 1945 in Romania. In 1964, he made aliyah to Israel with his family. Later, Andre lived in Holland for 2 years while earning his fencing trainer's diploma, and in 1971 married Ankie, his fencing student. Andre studied fencing at the Israeli National Sports Academy after completing military service. In 1972, Andre was head fencing instructor at the Wingate Institute and Maccabi Ramat Gan. Andre’s belief in the spirit of peace shone at the 1972 Munich Olympics.
